Position Summary
Meir Pinhasov is looking for a DevOps Manager who is responsible for leading a team of DevOps engineers and overseeing the implementation and management of the DevOps practices within the organization. They are responsible for developing and executing the DevOps strategy, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and fostering collaboration between development and operations teams. This role will be focusing on Perforce SaaS products, deployed on public cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc).
Responsibilities
- Execute the overall DevOps strategy, aligning it with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a global team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with software development, system administration, and quality assurance teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Plan, implement, and manage DevOps tools and technologies, including continuous integration/delivery, automated testing, and infrastructure management.
- Monitor and optimize performance of systems and applications through effective log analysis and monitoring tools.
- Establish and enforce best practices and standards across development and operations teams.
- Drive automation initiatives to minimize manual efforts and improve productivity.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to software delivery and infrastructure maintenance.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to DevOps and suggest relevant improvements to the organization.
- Foster collaboration and communication between development and operations teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience in the market.
- At least 10 years of industry experience in Cloud Operation or Software development with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), operating at a high scale and multiple locations and regions.
- Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Proficiency in observability tools such as ElasticSearch / Splunk, Grafana, NewRelic
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a Global company with teams distributed in multiple geographical locations.
- Familiarity with site reliability engineering (SRE) principles and incident management standard methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins) is a plus.
