Job Description

Ensures the efficient planning, provisioning, installation/configuration, maintenance, and/or operations of the hardware and software infrastructure required to build, validate, and release various hardware and software products and projects. Works closely with development and quality teams to derive infrastructure design requirements, build, test, and automate tools appropriate to the project, and/or implement and maintain those systems within the constraints imposed by Intel enterprise infrastructure (IT) and other governing bodies. Owns the end-to-end delivery pipeline, including source code management, versioning/tagging strategy, component build and packaging, test automation tooling, release staging, acceptance and/or indicators, required security and IP scans, any third-party conformance tools, artifact storage and distribution, and disaster recovery planning. Identifies opportunities and implements solutions for increased automation, reliability, and/or velocity within the pipeline by implementing robust infrastructure telemetry, KPIs, and indicators and monitoring and applying industry best practices.

Qualifications

Experienced DevOps Engineers are critical in bridging the gap between development and operations teams, ensuring software and services' smooth and efficient delivery. The qualifications for an experienced DevOps Engineer can vary depending on the organization's specific needs and the complexity of its infrastructure,

The minimum requirements

  • Educational Background:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often preferred, but not always


required. Many successful DevOps Engineers have degrees in other disciplines or are self-taught.

  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps or related roles.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Groovy, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong knowledge of version control systems like GitHub, Git- others
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline setup and management.
  • Monitoring and log management tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk.
  • Configuration management and automation tools.
  • Security best practices in the context of DevOps.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills as DevOps Engineers often work closely with both development and operations teams.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn and stay updated on new technologies and industry trends.
  • Project management skills for coordinating and managing DevOps projects.
  • Certifications (Optional):
  • Certifications can be beneficial but are not always required. Some relevant certifications include AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Jenkins Engineer.
  • Industry Knowledge:
  • Understanding of the specific industry in which the organization operates can be an asset, as DevOps practices may vary in different contexts.
  • Demonstrated Project Experience:
  • Showcasing previous projects where you implemented DevOps practices, improved system reliability, and streamlined deployment processes can be a significant advantage during the interview process.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
