Our Dream Candidate

We are on the hunt for a seasoned Backend Engineering Team Leader, a true tech visionary with extensive hands-on experience in back-end software engineering, architecture, software design and building teams. Your role will to build an entire team from scratch, including hiring, onboarding, converting product requirements to detailed architecture and project plan, take part and oversee the development, deliver and maintain core parts of our cutting-edge solution to combat fraud and contribute to our engineering culture.

Key Duties

• Take the leading role in the team of talented backend engineers, share your experience and demonstrate your expertise building our market-leading product
• Design and implement serverless, event-driven architecture
• Build a highly scalable data platform for diversified and complex data flows
• Have end-to-end ownership: Design, build, ship, measure, and maintain our backend services. You build it — you own it.
• Work closely with our fantastic Product team that created an industry-leading SaaS Product-Led-Growth offering

Requirements:

Desired Qualifications

• 5+ Years of hands-on experience in back-end software development using JavaScript/TypeScript and nodejs - MUST
• Proven experience of leading team of 4+ engineers. Larger/multiple teams — big advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience building infrastructure, choosing and integrating tools and best practices around development speed, velocity and standardization — advantage
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools, including unit testing, API testing and end-to-end
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and modular code, and perform code reviews for the team members
• Awareness of performance optimization techniques for web applications and backends
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in designing and maintaining microservices and FaaS
• Experience with cloud infrastructures and architectures – specifically AWS
• Experience working with both NoSQL and relational databases. Mongodb - advantage
• BSc in computer science or equivalent – advantage
