Checkpoint Security Gateway is looking for a talented engineer to lead our Automation R&D Team.

This challenging position will own and promote quality standards and practices across our group. You will oversee and participate in the development, execution, and maintenance of end-to-end automation systems and test scenarios.

Security Gateway R&D Automation Team collaborates with different R&D teams and you will have the opportunity to make an impact on the improvement of a mission-critical security product

Major Responsibilities

Your part will include leadership of the test automation team, designing and implementing several layers of testing solutions differing by frequency and scope. You will have ownership of all automation processes and lab environments to perform special R&D tests on our products in addition to common Checkpoint automation processes. You should be capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with a proactive approach to creating better quality for Security Gateway products.

The following responsibilities will be a part of your job:

• Leadership of the test automation team
• Plan and lead the development and execution of functionality, load, and continuous testing
• Hire new team members and create a training program to insure quick onboarding
• Analyze and guide analysis for test automation results, implemented by various monitors
• Coach and guide current team members and create their professional development programs
• Development of test cases and tests development in our automation system
• Run tests and analysis of the results reports
• Development and maintenance of our automation environment
• Development and maintenance of test cases based on product design and expected behavior
• Execute tests and analyze errors/failures.
• Research and implementation of external modules and tools to meet test requirements.
• Identify complex issues in the Security Gateway system from productions problem opened by support teams
• Dive into unfamiliar code and perform code investigations
• Ensure high quality of code, including rigorous debugging and testing
• Work closely with R&D and technical support on production-impacting cases
• Implement various debugging tools and scripts

Desired Background

• Bsc. in computer science or equivalent degree
• At least 4-5 years of test automation development experience.
• 2-3 years of Java\Python coding experience and familiarity with debugging tools
• 1+ years of technical leadership\managerial experience
• Building or a part of CI/CD implementation
• Excellent technical skills, including design, coding, and problem-solving
• Versatility, fast learning, and autonomous work capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
