The Digital Software Development Team Lead at Lumenis is the organization's subject matter expert in digital and web architecture, technologies, development processes, and outputs (digital products). The digital domain is rapidly evolving to become one of Lumenis's core engines..

Main Duties

· Management of the R&D SW team (internal head count and sub-contractors), covering planning, design, implementation, and testing.

Ensure alignment across various project interfaces and outputs, and provide guidance to team members.

· The Team Lead (TL) must understand product needs and translate them into a structured technical process for implementation, such as requirements documentation, design, etc.

· The TL stands as the primary digital projects architect, mandated to offer cutting-edge solutions and stay updated on the latest web-based and mobile technologies.

· Ensuring and upholding the pinnacle of product quality, encompassing bug management, integration testing, and beyond.

· Occasional hands-on programming is expected.

· Coordination of all SW development-related activities with subordinates, cross-functional teams, and the IT department.

· Development, oversight, and control of digital work plans.

· Leading, coordinating, and overseeing external SW development sub-contractor activities.

· Support in tailoring Medical Devices software development processes for Digital SW products.

Ensure the team adheres to best development practices and complies with relevant standards.

· The TL plays a significant role in the Digital Projects steering committee.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Education:

· B.Sc/M.Sc./PhD in Computer Science or an equivalent field from a recognized university.

· MBA – an advantage

Experience and knowledge:

· 5+ years of experience in programming.

· 3+ years of experience as a Software Team Lead.

· Prior experience in managing off-shore teams is advantageous.

· Robust background in technologies and languages such as Node.JS, AWS environment, MongoDB, .Net framework, C#, Android, IOS, React/Angular.

· Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies.

· Deep understanding of distributed software architecture.

· An enthusiastic self-learner with a passion for technology and a hands-on approach.

· Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· A motivated team player.

· Ability to successfully handle intricate software development projects.

· Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
