Unity (merged with ironSource) is looking for a talented Staff Engineer to join its R&D mobile division. The ideal candidate is curious, diligent, detail-oriented, innovative and visionary. A team player with a strong motivation to excel and great interpersonal and communication skills. As part of this role you will join the Unity LevelPlay Mediation SDK, a monetization solution that lets app developers manage and optimize multiple ad networks with just one SDK and is used by hundreds of millions every day.
What you'll do:
- Work with our technical leaders across sites to set out a vision for our mobile engineering.
- Strive to innovate beyond established practices, introducing new principles that would be adopted by others.
- Drive an agenda that would improve the velocity of our group and the developer experience.
- Evaluating existing processes and procedures to identify areas that need optimization.
- Apply technology that has impact across entire products.
- Coach, guide and mentor mobile developers and QA to grow into their work.
- Take part in product definition working with our product managers.
- Ensure delivering the required software quality and reliability of the entire group's output.
What you'll need:
- 2+ years of experience as a staff engineer in a similar environment.
- 2+ years of experience in mobile development in any of the following languages: Java/Kotlin/Objective-C/Swift
- 7+ years of experience in the high tech industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, structural design, and system optimization.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Quick learner, comfortable taking on new technologies and challenges
- B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent
