About the Role:

As a S. Deep Learning Researcher- CTO Office, you will be focusing on addressing some of the most intricate challenges in the AI industry. The role involves implementing advanced techniques to minimize incorrect identifications or predictions and aims for near-perfect results. Additionally, the Applied Research Team Leader will address Out-of-Domain challenges that impact system performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Research and Development: Conducting in-depth research to create novel deep learning models, algorithms, and architectures. Focus on representation in the computer-vision domain and self-learning implementations based on Autobrains proprietary technology.
  • Model Design and Training: Designing complex neural network architectures and learning algorithms to solve specific tasks, such as object detection, lane detection, or scene understanding. Focus on long tail of edge cases of real-world AI problems in Automotive.
  • Experimentation and Prototyping: Conducting experiments, building prototypes, and iterating on models to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Algorithm Optimization: Optimizing deep learning algorithms for faster training and inference times, as well as reduced computational resources.
  • Problem Solving: Tackling complex problems related to machine learning, such as overfitting, vanishing/exploding gradients, and designing architectures for specific tasks.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keeping up with the latest advancements in deep learning and related fields and integrating new techniques into research projects.
  • Collaboration: Writing patents, presenting findings at in company forums, and collaborating with other researchers in the company.
  • Code Development: Writing clean, well-documented code in languages commonly used in deep learning like Python and utilizing libraries in PyTorch.
  • Data Preprocessing and Analysis: Preprocessing large datasets to ensure they’re suitable for training deep learning models and analyzing results to draw meaningful conclusions
  • Hardware and Software Proficiency: Familiarity with specialized hardware like GPUs and TPUs, as well as proficiency in using software tools and frameworks for deep learning.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and other professionals to integrate deep learning solutions into real-world applications.


Requirements:

  • MSc.in relevant disciplines (e.g., EE/CS/Applied Math/Physics) – Must. PhD – advantage
  • 5 + years of industry experience in applied research positions in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning
  • Experience with “long tails” challenges such as accuracy, latency, and out-of-domain issues - is an advantage
  • Experience with active learning is an advantage
  • Availability for a full-time position from our office HQ in Tel Aviv


Attributes:

  • Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of deep learning techniques, computer vision, machine learning, and related fields, as well as experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills ranging outside the realm of deep-learning - e.g. probability theory, optimization theory.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
  • Proactive in taking on new challenges, seeking out opportunities to improve processes, and driving results Good interpersonal skills both in day-to-day interaction for achieving team development goals, and in. communicating ideas inside/outside the team.
