We are seeking a Python Developer with a keen understanding of data infrastructure to join our dynamic data science team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and refining the infrastructure that powers our data operations, including our automated alerting system and data enrichment platforms.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve the existing data infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and stability
  • Collaborate with data scientists to understand requirements and design infrastructure solutions
  • Develop and enhance the automated alerting system to ensure accurate and timely notifications
  • Improve our data enrichment systems, optimizing the process for speed and accuracy
  • Ensure best coding practices are maintained across all developments
  • Work on debugging and troubleshooting infrastructure issues as they arise
  • Participate in code reviews, enhancing the quality and maintainability of the codebase
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, and continuously explore new technologies that can enhance our data operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience In Python development
  • Experience with data processing libraries like Pandas and NumPy
  • Understanding of SQL & relational databases & data infrastructure
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure), and serverless technologies like AWS Lambda
  • Familiarity with coding best practices: version control (git), CI/CD, unit tests and testing in general
  • Passion for data. Background in Data Analysis/Data Engineering is a plus
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate about technology and its intersection with data
  • Eager to learn and grow, keeping up with the fast-paced evolution of data technology
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on producing quality output
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
