Job Description: 

As an Applied Data Scientist on our AI Development Team, you will work at the forefront of AI technology, shaping the future of education and helping children thrive academically. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a project with a meaningful purpose, collaborate with cutting-edge technologies, and be an integral part of a team dedicated to improving children's lives. 

Responsibilities: 

1. Language Model Expertise: Leverage your expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to fine tune LLMs, perform prompt engineering, develop agents, train machine learning models to solve NLP tasks using BERT, and continuously enhance our AI system capabilities. 

2. Research: Dedicate about 20% of your time to staying up-to-date with the latest scientific papers and conducting experiments to advance our AI models. 

3. Production-Grade Code: Develop robust, production-grade code in Python, accounting for about 80% of your role, ensuring that our AI system functions seamlessly and efficiently. 

4. Model Fine-Tuning: Fine-tune LLMs to optimize their performance for educational purposes, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and effectiveness in assisting students. 

Your future tasks might be:

Fine tune LLMs: be ready to get your hands in the LLM mud to produce SOTA AI models. 

Benchmarking: Create benchmarks and conduct comparative analyses of multiple LLMs to identify the most suitable models for our educational platform. 

Information Extraction: Develop information extraction tools to extract relevant educational content and insights from various sources. 

Evaluation Methods: Design and implement evaluation methods for conversations between our AI system and students to continuously assess and improve our models. 

Human-in-the-Loop Integration: Collaborate with our team to integrate human feedback loops for enhancing our AI models, ensuring a personalized and adaptive learning experience for students. 

Data Mining: Utilize data mining techniques to gather valuable insights from educational data, enabling data-driven improvements to our platform.
