The Role:
We are seeking a backend engineer to join our platform team!
We are in the process of developing an innovative video platform as a service, hosted on AWS, that offers an end-to-end video experience to our customer base.
If you share our passion for building high-scale and complex distributed systems and would like to take a leading role in shaping our technical roadmap, this role is tailored to your requirements.
The day-to-day:
- Construct large-scale platform infrastructure.
- Contribute to the technical and architectural roadmap, shaping the future capabilities of our platform.
- Design and implement core foundational modules and processes.
- Analyze and enhance the efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.
- Analyze, solve, and prevent challenging production incidents across the technological stack.
Ideally, we’re looking for:
- Over 2 years of experience as a backend/platform developer.
- Experience with NoSQL databases and pub/sub systems (MongoDB, Redis, Kafka).
- Ability to analyze performance and address performance bottlenecks.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, Node.js, and Go.
- Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes).
- Experience in microservices frameworks and architecture.
These would also be nice:
- Deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems.
- Previous exposure to working with well-known cloud providers such as AWS, OCI, GCP, or Azure.
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and a strong aptitude for self-learning.
- Extensive experience with distributed systems architecture.
