Autotalks is looking for an experienced SW Application Engineer to join our Support and Applications team. You will play a key role in creating an Automotive solution that deployed by the world's most prestigious carmakers. You will join our Product division, working in a hybrid model: from our office in Kfar Netter, from home, or from our remote offices in Rehovot and Caesarea.

About the role

Senior SW Application Engineer in Autotalks’ Support Team is responsible for technical interactions with existing and potential customers from all over the world, on various design matters that may arise, focusing on the software aspects. This includes items such as BSP, device drivers, security protocols, stack, and applications running on the processors embedded in our products. He/She is expected to be familiar with Autotalks’ offering and gain a system view of the customer architecture for suggesting optimal and creative solutions for issues that may arise.


Responsibilities:

· Provide technical support to customers and partners (remotely and on-site)

· Supporting pre-sales activities by training and delivering technical workshops (remotely and on-site)

· Handling issues reported by customers and driving to resolution

· Hands-on debugging of SW issues that may arise

· Drive cross-company activities such as complex issue investigations and customer design reviews

· Report to Customer Support Team Leader


Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering

· 5 years of development experience in C/C++, preferably embedded RTOS

· Hands-on experience investigating complicated SW/HW issues

· Familiarity with Linux OS, SW build tools (make), bash scripts

· Willingness to travel abroad (US-EU-APAC)

· Strong interpersonal skills and high customer service orientation

· Strong communication skills, oral and written, fluent English


Advantage:

· Experience in Field Application Engineering or Customer Support

· Experience in the Automotive industry

· Familiarity with one or more of the technologies: Ethernet, SPI, SDIO, USB, WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE

· Ability to read PCB Schematics
