Description
monday.com is looking for a full-stack data scientist to join the office of the CEO. You will conceive and develop prototypes for implementing generative AI capabilities within monday.com's platform and business processes, and assume ownership of key data inference and prediction flows that serve the company’s core agendas.
The optimal candidate will have proven experience developing and implementing the latest generation of generative AI models, ideally within a product or in business/analytics settings. They will have strong business aptitude and experience modeling and optimizing processes such as user segmentation, funnel dynamics, financial scenario analysis, LTV prediction, and the likes. They will possess top-notch analytical skills and have excellent hands-on familiarity with the full toolbox of “classic” machine learning algorithms, but also have the practical sense and experience to know when a quick heuristic is more valuable than a costly production model. They will be effective data communicators, capable of identifying and extracting concise bottom lines, providing appropriate context, and creating compelling visualizations.
The Office of the CEO defines, measures, and advances monday.com ’s core priorities. Members of the team are leaders in their respective domains of expertise (data analysis, data science, UX design, and product management), collaborating with senior partners from all divisions to advance company leadership’s prioritized agenda and key projects.
About The Role
You will be responsible for initiating, planning, and executing AI and data analytics flows from inception to fruition, you will:
- Identify and pursue opportunities to incorporate generative AI within monday.com's ecosystem: within the product and as part of back-office business processes
- Fully own data-centric solutions to business and product problems: projects may include user segmentation, outlier detection, financial modeling, and scenario analysis, causal inference to detect key proxy indicators for business outcomes, experiment design, and other priority analytics, statistics, or data science programs
- Contribute to defining and developing monday.com’s data infrastructure: accurate data collection, metric definition and iteration, effective reporting and data visualizations
- Become a focal point of expertise and experience in your ownership domains, providing mentorship and guidance, and helping establish best practices (by example) for monday.com’s growing data community
Requirements
- B.Sc . and ideally an advanced degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist in non-academic settings, with a focus on NLP or neural networks; a demonstrated record of conceiving, designing, and shipping successful data science/analytics projects to production (interesting failures are also okay)
- Hands-on proficiency with modern generative AI models, in particular transformers (including optimized training techniques such as LoRA) but also GANs / VAEs. Familiarity with relevant popular models, architecture and ML stacks
- Strong control of classic machine learning algorithms and advanced statistics; hands-on experience with Bayesian inference or causal inference - an advantage
- High proficiency in at least one scripting language used for data analysis (e.g. R, Python); excellent SQL skills.
- This is a full-stack role - an ideal candidate will not only be comfortable with algorithmic tasks and model training, but also have the technical know-how to set up and operate the environment and tooling that they require
- Great communication skills, with a penchant for data visualization and storytelling
