As a Senior WordPress Developer at MyHeritage, you will work closely with product managers, marketing leaders, and project managers across the company to ensure our web and marketing funnels meet specified requirements and timelines. In this role, you'll design and implement CMS websites for MyHeritage using WordPress and other platforms and tools. You will be responsible for front-end and back-end development, including implementing themes and plugins for our various sites.

What you’ll do

• Oversee the development and maintenance of websites, intranets, applications, and other custom programming assignments, as applicable
• Research, design, and implement technical specifications for marketing web projects based on requirements indicated in the work scope, wireframes, design, and sitemap documents
• Ensure projects are built to meet performance, security, and functional requirements
• Conduct an analysis of current programs, including performance, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of problematic programs, and design solutions to fix any problematic programming
• Perform backend/database programming for crucial projects
• Stay up-to-date on industry standards and incorporate them appropriately
• Assist with testing, debugging, documentation, and overall quality assurance of projects

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry work experience
• 6-8+ years of experience in WordPress development and other CMS tools
• Knowledge of Headless CMS systems — an advantage
• In-depth knowledge of front-end development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other current front-end technologies and tools
• Proficiency in backend development, including PHP and MySQL
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail, and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical people
• Ability to understand business requirements and the non-technical reasoning behind a decision or position and present a clear, rational argument in favor of a proposed solution
• Motivated, self-starter who can manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
