We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic startup!

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems. Your expertise in Node.js and TypeScript will be essential in building cutting-edge financial solutions. Experience with GraphQL is a definite advantage, enabling you to optimize and enhance our API offerings.

What will you be doing?

• Drive the evolution of FundGuard’s web application architecture and technology
• Use a modern stack: GraphQL, Typescript, NodeJS, ReactJS, and more
• Tackle tough problems and find creative ways to solve them
• Participate and affect all aspects of the FE software development lifecycle including architecture, design, implementation, test design, test implementation, optimization, and delivery
• Mentor engineers through coaching, consultation, pair programming, and code review feedback

REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with web technologies, specifically with React
• Expert-level proficiency in building large-scale web applications
• Experience working with systems in production
• Excellent analytical skills and a desire to solve challenging problems
• Experience defining, writing, and supporting reusable and maintainable UI components and API’s.

Nice to have skills:

• Good knowledge of Typescript
• Understanding of Functional Programming paradigm and other programming concepts like immutability, pure functions, and function compositions
• Experience in building an in-house design system
• Knowledge and interest in financial markets
