BMC is looking for an Experienced Backend Developer to join our amazing Innovation Labs team, responsible for developing the next generation of BMC’s products, by harnessing new ideas, and anticipating & acting on market changes.

In this role, you will be working with a high performing team on exciting cloud-native products from scratch to solve complex problems of enterprise IT teams.

How will your day-to-day look like?

• Design, implement and maintain enterprise business software for cloud platforms, with a focus on Backend development, using various technologies (Java, NodeJS, Go, Python..)
• Work with a globally distributed development team to perform requirements analysis, write design documents, design, develop and test software development projects.
• Understand real world deployment and usage scenarios from customers and product managers and translate them to product features that drive value of the product.
• Work closely with product managers and architects to understand requirements, present options, and design solutions.
• Analyze and clearly communicate both verbally and in written form the status of projects or issues along with risks and options to the stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Backend development of an enterprise software product
• Experience in Node.js \ Python AND Java \ Golang
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases
• Experience with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, etc.
• Experience with Jira, Jenkins, and GitHub
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Self-unblocker with an innovative thinking and a can-do attitude
• Good communication skills in English (verbal & written)

Nice to have:

• Experience of natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning concepts
• Experience with design, development, and implementation of large language models such as GPT, BERT, or similar architectures
• Proficiency in libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks
• Experience with Agile development methodology and best practice in unit testing
• Experience using public cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Preferred experience with security best practices in SSO, certificate mgmt., encryption, etc.
• Preferred experience in message bus technologies such as Kafka, MQTT, ZeroMQ
• Understanding of DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines
