What You’ll Be Spending Your Time On

We’re looking for a technology & people enthusiastic R&D Director to lead with a drive for excellence and out of the box mindset to satisfy business needs in a complex payment solution environment.

• Lead organization of ~60 people , including 2 groups of software engineers, and senior QA who are responsible for the customer domain
• Part of the management staff
• Grow and tutor managers, teams and engineers and scale the organization
• Lead creation for new products and services, modernize infra to support business growth and provide solutions for our customers
• Work in an agile environment with a highly professional and capable teams
• Collaborate closely with Product, SRE, DevOps, Data, Operation and other R&D teams to achieve business goals
• Design solutions, evaluate architecture options, set technical direction and quality standards, guide implementation
• Promote personal development while maintaining an innovative culture
• Take ownership of the group’s growth and recruiting process
• Effectively managing all developing resources according to objectives and business needs as well as making the right decisions and setting priorities for the teams

Have you done this kind of stuff?

• Sc in computer science or equivalent - must.
• 5+ years’ of managerial experience - Leading a large dev group or entire R&D in Small/ medium company.
• 5 + years’ experience as a developer- all the way from DB to UI (Using C#, .NET, Java or other similar programming languages), familiar with REST WEB API and Queues)
• Broad knowledge and opinions of Microservices architecture, OOP and design patterns
• Experience developing systems (and not just services)
• Experience in engineering best practices (code-reviews, testing coverage, agile methodologies).
