What You’ll Do

As a Senior SRE and as part of the global and local SRE team, you will be responsible for creating and evolving the environments, tooling, and practices which transform research ideas into products that are taken to market to make a meaningful difference for Cisco and the industry.

• Participate in evaluations and build vs. buy decisions across open source, commercial offers, and the greater Cisco community for each service required as well as its implementation, deployment, monitoring, and evolution
• Develop software - code, scripts, and configuration - to optimally and repeatedly deploy, monitor, and evolve services.
• Develop standards and practices used by all teams - application and platform - to build operable services
• Participate in the on-call rotation for the services delivered by the SRE/Platform team
• Participate in "Incident Command", assisting application service owners with triage, remediation, and postmortems for their incidents, ensuring lessons learned are implemented across all teams
• Contribute to the evolving standardized platform and DevOps structure across the organization
• Identify, influence and drive product architecture, to achieve and surpass SLOs.
• Help improve operational practices to minimize service disruptions.
• Maintain and operate services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
• Design and implement debugging and logging systems at scale.

Who You Are

You enjoy working in a multi-functional team in an agile environment and happy to teach/learn. You are curious and interested in coming up with innovative solutions for complicated problems. You have built or deployed SaaS/PaaS applications, and are able to diagnose complex systems and applications.

• 4-5 years as a senior SRE, with experience mentoring junior team members and managing project deliverables
• Experience in delivering large-scale systems using cloud technologies including but not limited to public cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure & AWS
• Cloud operations experience with a SaaS product
• Kubernetes
• Using monitoring tools/platforms as Prometheus, OTel, New Relic, AppDynamics
• Continuous Integration/Delivery tools similar to GithubActions, Jenkins, Ansible, Atlantis, ArgoCD
• Very good verbal and written communication skills in English and Very good verbal skills in Hebrew
• Ability in some of the following languages: Python, Go, Java
• BSc in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technologies or equivalent experience
