About the role

TeamUp is seeking a Research Team Leader to establish and manage our research team. The goal of this team is to leverage our big data warehouse and create a research center that helps AT&T become more productive and efficient.

The research team will analyze data from thousands of developers and AT&T applications, exploring practices, processes, and tools to identify opportunities for improvement. As the Data Team Leader, you will have a significant impact, working closely with cross-company stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance to influence decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will also include hiring, training, and managing a team of data analysts and data engineers.

Ownership & Responsibilities:

• Hire and manage the Data team, including recruitment, training, and coaching of Data analysts and Data engineers
• Develop the vision for the TeamUp research center and lead analytical opportunities for efficiency across the company
• Create specialized operational dashboards to visualize data analysis and insights
• Conduct statistical analyses to determine risk impact and recommend actionable next steps for decision-making
• Collaborate with Business Process Improvement and Operations Management to develop an Analytics Framework
• Publish research findings on high-performing teams across the organization and industry, and contribute to the TeamUp roadmap

Requirements:

• BSc/BA in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Economics
• 2+ years experience as a Data Team Leader
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst working with large data sets
• Hands-on experience with SQL for deep analysis and infrastructure development
• Expertise in creating dashboards and data visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Knowledge of database structures and integration
• Excellent communication skills and English fluency
• Experience in business/product data analytics is a big advantage
• Familiarity with Python and machine learning is an advantage
