Software Engineer Junior:

Our next-gen platform architecture delivers the agility retailers need to compete in a world that increasingly prefers digital experiences.

We are looking for talented intern SW engineering student who love tackling convoluted problems and coming up with clean, stable solutions that scale.

You will be participating in building from scratch the next-gen retail solution as-a-service dealing with scalability, availability, cloud and edge computing.

You will participate in the entire development cycle –planning and development to validation and maintenance providing state of the art solutions.

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Develop and implement a variety of new product features with real user impact.
• Work on APIs that enable a better digital experience for our internal and external customers.
• Expand the functionality of our solution based on insights from our analytics and experimentation efforts.
• Collaborate cross functionally to solve business problems and continue to support our rapid growth.
• Diagnose, isolate, and implement remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code.
• Participate with industry groups, stay current with technology and industry trends, distribute knowledge to team members, form best practices. (Retail and Self-service Retail Industry groups)

Basic Qualifications:

• 2nd year or later, student of bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• Solid understanding of cloud native development, containerization, CI/CD, microservices and API development
• Excellent written, verbal communication English skills and ability to work in a team.
• Solid understanding of OOP design.
• Solid understanding of Unit tests and testing designs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Retail industry, POS software solution development, and/or SAAS
• Experience with cloud technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, CloudBuild, Ansible, Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools like: GitOps, GitHub, Helm.
• Certification, training, or skills in agile, cloud computing, or software development technologies
• Experience in Coding and unit testing.
