About the Role:

We are currently on the lookout for a seasoned Backend Infrastructure Team Manager to head our skilled Core Backend team. This position calls for a professional who is passionate about architecting and building systems that are scalable, efficient, and reliable, primarily using Python.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Guiding and mentoring a team of backend developers, steering them towards creating top-quality software solutions using Python.
• Leading the architecture and design of our backend systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Establishing and enforcing best coding practices, inclusive of comprehensive code reviews.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and roll out new features and services.
• Overseeing the resolution of service issues and enhancing infrastructure efficiency through innovative process improvements and automation.
  
  

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

• A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including 5 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrable proficiency in Python and its ecosystems.
• Solid grasp of system design and databases, both SQL and no-SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure and container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, ECS.
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience with DevOps tools and processes.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
