GitOps Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced GitOps Engineer to join our amazing team.

As a GitOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our developer and automation experience by using pushing forward modern DevOps approaches.

Your expertise will be used in areas such as infrastructure support, deployment automation, and providing technical guidance while pushing infrastructure\configuration as a code approach across the company.

In our quest for continuous improvement, you will aid in elevating our SaaS and OnPrem release infrastructure and automation and provide platform tools to enable the usage of the new services.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong foundation in modern Cloud native infrastructure and a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices. You should be comfortable engaging in complex technical discussions and advocating for optimal solutions in a fast-paced setting.


The responsibilities of this opportunity include:

  • Utilize cutting-edge technologies including Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and Functions, among others. And utilize them all in an infrastructure/configuration as a code approach.
  • Design and implement complex CI/CD processes, enabling seamless automation of high-quality deliverables for our Aqua Security Cloud Native Platform Protection products.
  • Develop and maintain production-grade environments based on serverless cloud architecture and Kubernetes deployments across multiple cloud providers.
  • Manage internal DevOps services integral to R&D, including artifact management, image registries, CI servers, internal portals, monitoring systems, and release tools.
  • Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot our product services and tools.


Requirements:


  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer.
  • 3+ years of experience with implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket pipelines, or similar.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in managing cloud services in the Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Proven experience in building/enhancing multi-tier infrastructure and services using infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm.
  • Strong experience with scripting (Groovy/Python/Bash), and automation tools (Ansible).
  • Strong experience with SCM methodologies, especially Git and Git workflows.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues across various environments.


Advantage:

  • 2+ years of experience managing/owning a Kubernetes-based platform.
  • Experience with designing and implementing AWS serverless Architectures.
  • Implementing and maintaining large-scale shared libraries in Jenkins.


Personal qualifications:

  • An innovative approach, with the ability to quickly learn technologies, and a sense of ownership and accountability to personal and team objectives.
  • Strong Debugging skills and the ability to quickly detect problems.
  • The mindset and approach for automating away from manual efforts.
