We are looking for a Cloud Software Architect to join our growing architecture team.

What you'll do:

• Co-define the evolution and strategy of our cloud-RAN deployment in a K8S environment
• Devise SW architecture for the various deployment platforms and translate it into, system requirement specification
• Support the concept of hardware agnostic, cloud-native solutions for real-time (DPDK, VPP, CRYPTODEV etc.) and performance demanding applications
• Develop a POC (Hands-on and coding) to demonstrate the proposed architecture
• Provide performance figures in terms of required resources to meet applications performance based on POC experiments
• Support Product Management in defining company roadmap towards cloud-native
• Be domain knowledge for development in a cloud environment (one of the Hyper scaler – AWS is an advantage)
• Ability to trouble shot SW-platform related issues
  
  

What you should have:

• BsC or MsC in computer science electrical eng. or similar
• 10+ years experience in SW architecture out of them 3+ years in cloud native SW development/architecture
• Experience with bare-metal deployment: ( ipxe, Redfish, UEFI)
• Experience with Linux-based platforms
• Strong Knowledge of IP network services and protocols
• Architectural and hands-on knowledge and hands-on proficiency and experience designing, deploying and managing Kubernetes
• Experience with one or more automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform - advantage
• Experience with containerization packaging, tooling, and DevOps methodologies
  
  

Advantage:

• Knowledge/ Experience in 2G 4G and 5G Radio network architecture and ecosystem
• Knowledgeable with Radio Access Network (RAN) design and RAN virtualization
• Knowledgeable with real-time OS and acceleration products and technologies
• Familiar with O-RAN specifications and O-RAN Components is preferred
• Experience in management and orchestration for distributed federated edge K8S clusters including Helm Configmap etc.
• Ability to drive PoCs, and pilots
• Solid understanding of Intel’s x86 architecture
• Solid understanding of computer networking and protocols.
• Experience with Linux kernel programming and RT patches – advantage
