About You:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will take a leading role in our engineering team, influencing product development from design to production. You will have a crucial role in enhancing our product's capabilities and efficiency. Your Impact:

• Enhance a backend system with cutting-edge technologies to support hundreds of thousands of global cameras.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering technical excellence and alignment with company objectives.
• Advocate projects, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to software craftsmanship.
• Work with diverse programming languages like Rust, Clojure, Ruby, and Golang.
• Work in close collaboration with other teams in the company, handling mission-critical microservices and APIs.

We're Looking for Someone with:

• 5+ years of backend software development with strong coding skills, an understanding of algorithms, and experience in software design/architecture.
• Experience with high-scale, critical production systems and techniques like load balancing, caching, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in designing and maintaining web services and understanding various protocols (REST, gRPC, WebSocket).
• Solid experience in testing methodologies and test automation frameworks.
• Proficient in monitoring and observability with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Jaeger.
• Proven experience in delivering large, successful backend projects.
• Strong problem-solving abilities under pressure and leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes will be an advantage.
