At Urbanico, we’re developing a next-gen data platform for urban areas, providing a unique urban intelligence platform that brings the unique asset of urban data to life! 

Using Urbanico allows insurers to assess risk 150X deeper, build significantly better risk models all while mitigating and preventing risks from happened.

Responsibilities

·        Develop various data engineering components of Urbanico’s platform.

·        Develop new methodologies for ingesting data from traditional and non-traditional data sources, both structured and unstructured.

·        Managing big data transformation workflows, mainly with tabular datasets.  

·        Play a key role in the development of Urbanico’s product, directly under Urbanico’s VP R&D.

Qualifications

·        BSc in computer science (or equivalent).

·        3+ years of professional experience as a data/software engineer.

·        Proficiency in Python and pandas.

·        Super talented data engineer who loves to get their hands “dirty”. We’re looking for a person who loves to dig in and learn while doing.

·        Independent, autodidact and excited about learning new technologies with a can-do approach.

·        Fun and determined individual, collaborative and motivated by team success and.

·        Knowledge in ML/DL and experience working with NLP algorithms - advantage!

·        Experience with cloud environments, dockers, and Kubernetes - advantage!
