Job Description:

Thinkz seeks a dynamic, experienced R&D Leader to join our fast-growing start-up company. As the VP of R&D, you will have an opportunity to build and lead the development team and bring to light your hands-on technical expertise. You’ll be able to implement your deep understanding of Mobile, Cloud, and server technologies while executing your managerial competencies.

What will you do?

You’ll be responsible for Technical Leadership and People  Leadership.

As a Technical Leader you’ll:

• Be a subject matter expert for mobile app development, websites, server technologies and cloud services.
• Provide architectural guidance and ensure the development of a scalable, robust, and high-quality multi-tenant product
• Collaborate with the company's CEO and Product Manager to drive the product vision and technical roadmap.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements and bring innovative ideas to the team.

As a  People Leader you’ll:

• Build a new team of highly skilled developers
• Manage the team to ensure successful delivery of product releases along with engaged team members

Your job also includes Hands-On Development. You’ll lead by example and contribute hands-on to developing key features and modules.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience in a managerial role, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
• Experience in designing and leading the development of high-performance, highly scalable microservices architecture with complex business logic deployed on cloud.
• Experienced with leading Front-End and mobile device development..
• Track record of working with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience in relational databases and NoSQL databases.
• Fluent English
