Explorium is a cutting-edge data science company that has recently closed a Series C round bringing their total funding to $127 million.

Explorium offers a first of its kind data science platform powered by augmented data discovery and feature engineering. By automatically connecting to thousands of external data sources and leveraging machine learning to distill the most impactful signals, the Explorium platform empowers data scientists and business leaders to drive decision-making by eliminating the barrier to acquire the right data and enabling superior predictive power.

We are looking for a tech-savvy candidate, with experience in infrastructure best practices and an excellent understanding of both reliability and continuous delivery domains, to join Explorium’s R&D group and lead the DevOps team

You will work in a high-velocity startup with a dynamic environment. As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for our internal dev tools, our testing/production environments and the support of our clients needs. You'll work closely with our architect, the data, and engineering teams to enable fast TTM, high stability, and reliability in production.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professional and ambitious DevOps engineers
  • Hire, train, and mentor new team members as the team grows
  • Provide technical leadership & guidance including Design & code reviews; Seek and choose technical solutions to meet current and future needs; Adherence to high standards and industry best practices
  • Responsible for the company's production environment
  • Set high-quality standards, ensure resilience, performance, and stability of a business critical components
  • Respond to and resolve emergent service problems, build tools and automation to proactively prevent the next issue
  • Proactive management of our services availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency by engineering reliability into software and systems
  • Build solutions that allow our R&D teams to work productively at scale
  • Control and improve Explorium’s cloud consumption costs

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years building highly available systems and supporting SaaS cloud-based infrastructure preferably in a startup environment
  • Proven experience in leading big projects, with other team members, in production
  • Proficiency with troubleshooting, monitoring, and debugging
  • Experience with observability tools and best practices ( Datadog , Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic stack, Tracing and APM)
  • Proven hands-on experience with containerized environments and microservices; Kubernetes - A must
  • Hands-on experience with cloud vendors architecture and services(AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with CI/CD/GitOps tooling and flows (ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code tools and practices
  • Experience with configuration management
  • Ability to effectively asses, evaluate and implement new tools and technologies
  • Data Ops / ML Ops background - an advantage
