What are we looking for?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced R&D Manager to join our fast-growing start-up company. As the R&D Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading our development team. This is a unique opportunity that combines hands-on technical expertise with managerial responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a skilled architect and manager with a deep understanding of iOS, Android, and server technologies.

What will you do?

Technical Leadership:

• Act as the technical leader and subject matter expert for mobile app development, specializing in iOS, Android, and server technologies.
• Provide architectural guidance and ensure the development of scalable, robust, and high-quality mobile applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, to drive the product vision and technical roadmap.

Hands-On Development:

• Lead by example and contribute hands-on to the development of key features and modules of the mobile app.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in mobile app development and bring innovative ideas to the team.

Team Management:

• Build and manage a highly skilled and motivated team of mobile app developers.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical support to team members.
• Set clear goals, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Project Management:

• Plan and prioritize development tasks, balancing the team's workload and project deadlines.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and manage expectations.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

• Implement effective quality assurance processes, including code reviews, automated testing, and performance optimization.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and version control practices.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in mobile app development, with a focus on iOS, Android, and server technologies.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java, and server-side frameworks.
• Experience in architecting and developing scalable, performance-oriented mobile applications.
• Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Passion for staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in the mobile app industry.
