LOCATION: Rehovot

POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a highly motivated, focused, energetic and experienced Senior Bioinformatics researcher. The person will be responsible for supporting the activities of drug discovery pipeline.

The candidate will be responsible for working cross functionally and with internal and external resources to help support and drive computational biology supports across all phases of drug discovery, research and development.

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Bioinformatics or Computational biology with proven track record of excellence in research and good knowledge of Genomics and Bioinformatics – MUST

·  Experience & fluent programing in Python, R, bash & Unix – Must

·  Hands-on with NGS pipeline, analyses methods, DNA-seq, RNA-seq – MUST (advantage to Nextflow framework)

·  Experience with data science workflows, including proven track record in NGS and Omics data analysis.

· Proven experience with UI aspect of data science, focus on presenting complex data (ShinyApps in R is an advantage).

· A team player with strong communicational skills and fluent English.

· Familiarity with coding supporting tools: Git, AWS, Dockers, Shiny or other UI platform.

· At least 4 years’ experience in Pharma/Biotech or research environment with track records on multiple projects and experience supporting discovery/ research and early development projects.
