We are building a team of top-notch engineers who are passionate about shaping the future of the real estate investing marketplace. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who loves coding and has strong software skills. You will take part in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining backend services, cloud infrastructure, and complex vendor integrations. You will deal with a bunch of technological challenges in areas such as velocity, scale, and performance.

What You Will Do

• Design, implement, test, and roll out the next-generation features of consumer real estate investing
• Plan your work, estimate the effort, provide due dates, and deliver on them
• Perform code reviews, design reviews, evaluate implementations, and provide feedback to fellow team members
• Improve your skills, learn from and mentor top-notch engineers and enrich other team members
• Help improve and automate the process by constantly detecting inefficiencies, suggesting ways to improve them and implementing them
• Contribute to the company’s engineering culture, by implementing best engineering practices

What Do You Bring

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in backend software engineering, working with server-side technologies such as Python
• 4+ of hands-on experience in working with relational and non-relational databases
• Your software design skills are solid. You have experience with solving complex product needs with simple software architecture
• You are independent, and have good self management skills. You know to estimate effort, manage your time, and work in a predictive manner
• You have strong ownership of your deliveries. You are accountable for your work, and your work can be trusted, end to end
• Collaborating with peers is obvious to you, you are open to others’ ideas, know how to handle disagreement and work successfully together
