Job Description Summary
GE HealthCare is looking for a highly experienced and motivated Software Engineer to join the Haifa Image Generation group. You’ll design and develop software for the next generation CT products that are expected to revolutionize the industry. You should have strong C++ and SW design abilities, good communication skills, and an ability to integrate well as part of the team and global organization. GPU programming and optimization background is an advantage. Be motivated to solve sophisticated problems in clear maintainable ways. You’ll be developing CT reconstruction software applications and services computational tools, working in the areas of algorithm development, platform, application, AI and cloud, collaborating with engineers across the globe from US, Sweden, Japan, India and China.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:• Build, design and implement CT image generation/reconstruction software – algorithms and applications.
• Lead complex SW designs and related discussions
• Communicate with system engineers, algorithm developers and other software developers from across the globe, continuously collaborating with them effectively to achieve optimal product code and implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions for CT• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Agile/Scrum/SAFe, CI, requirements analysis, documentation practices, software and product security, scalability, refactoring and testing techniques.
• Implement and optimize algorithms for GPU
• Take part in developing a common imaging platform for all GE Healthcare imaging products
• Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using C++, OpenCL, Python, OneAPI
Education Qualification
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree
Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience in C++, strong experience in OOD and architecture
- Excellent communication skills – able to effectively collaborate with engineers across the globe in a global organization.
- Able to write high quality maintainable code allowing long term support as well as flexibility of requirements, target HW and algorithms design.
- Aware of methods and practices such as Agile/SCRUM/SAFe and continuous integration.
- Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks
- Able to grasp system view, understanding the full picture and end-to-end solution
- Minimum of 6 years of software development experience
Advantages:
