Come join the Intuit Data Exchange group as a Backend (Hands-on) Engineering Tech Lead. You will be developing high volume tools and services that are part of Intuit’s Data Acquisition Platform. Our Backend teams are responsible for acquiring millions of transactions and statements a day to satisfy our customer’s needs in all Intuit products. You will utilize your skills to help develop and maintain critical backend systems in cloud environments that are vastly used by both internal and external customers.

What you'll bring
  • You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • You have at least 8 - 10+ years of active experience in OOP software development in Java
  • You have Hands-on experience developing applications using Spring/SpringBoot framework and relational DBs
  • You have a good systems architectural grasp
  • You have experience with both unit and integration tests
  • You share deep appreciation for clean and well-documented code
  • You are knowledge and experienced with AWS cloud environment and services
  • You have experience in driving distributed systems large-scale end-to-end
  • You have strong leadership experience: Leading meetings, presenting, technical go to person, and cross-functional leader
  • You have business Acumen - strategic thinking & strategy development.
  • You can build strong teams - set and evangelize vision, facilitative leadership, attract and retain key talent.
  • You are self-motivated, proactive and able to multitask
  • You have excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You have excellent English, both oral and written
  • You’re passionate about your work and you have a desire to push boundaries
  • You demonstrate a great “can-do” approach, creativity and learning mindset
  • You have experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
  • Bonus points:
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or similar containerized frameworks
  • You have an interesting hobby or great sense of humor
How you will lead
  • You will contribute by designing and implementing new features and enhancements.

  • You will collaborate with various stakeholders - product management, analysts, data engineers and more.
  • You will represent the team in the technical aspect during discussions and architecture roundtables

  • You will serve as the immediate go-to person within the team for any tech-related issue or discussion
  • You will be Leading cross-functionally with various Intuit teams including: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, and/or business units to drive forward results, gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning
  • You will be Creating technical documentation and PowerPoint presentations to communicate architectural Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams
  • You will be hands-on, 60 - 80% coding
  • You’ll be a good listener, while also having strong opinions on what is right
