Senior Backend Engineer Wanted!

We're looking for a seasoned backend developer to join our expanding engineering team and help create innovative technology and products. You'll collaborate with developers and product managers to deliver seamless, enjoyable experiences for our customers.

Getruck is an Israeli start-up providing advanced planning and dispatching solutions. Our platform uses cutting-edge algorithms and AI for route optimization, real-time changes, and data enrichment, enabling full visibility and data-driven decision-making in ground shipping logistics.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Build and Deploy: Develop products using microservices and pipelines with TypeScript (NestJS), Python, and Java on Kubernetes and AWS.

• Feature Ownership: Take ownership of features from design to production, ensuring high quality and robust test coverage.

• Collaborate: Work closely with product managers and software engineers to deliver valuable customer solutions.

• Learn and Innovate: Continuously explore and evaluate new technologies to improve our products and scale.

• Mentor and Lead: Impact your team by mentoring others, leading projects, and promoting best engineering practices.

• Integrate AI: Implement AI-driven solutions to enhance backend operations and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.

About You:

• Educational Background: B.Sc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Technology (or equivalent field experience).

• Experience: At least five years as a hands-on backend engineer in an internet/product company.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in NodeJs, TypeScript, Python/Java/C#, and containerized production environments (Kubernetes, microservices, queues, etc.).

• Database Knowledge: Expertise in both NoSQL and relational databases.

• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.

• Fast Learner: Quick to learn new technologies and excited about continuous improvement.

• Problem Solver: Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.

Bonus Points:

• AI and Backend: Experience using AI tools to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Security classification: Active military security classification.

• Big Data: Experience with big data technologies.

• CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD methods in a cloud environment.

• Work Style: Hybrid work model – two days remote and three days in the office.
