Telicomm enables the connectivity of thousands of smart city cameras over the cellular network.
The companys MuVis can connect up to four cameras in the same location to a single communication box, which then transmits the video to the control room over the cellular network rather than through a cable infrastructure.
In the control room, the video is received in the same manner and into the same environment as the clients.Transmission over the cellular network, which is an existing and available infrastructure, allows Telicomm to offer MuVis as a plug-and-play solution that can be installed instantly and be relocated at any time.
The products small form factor allows it to be hung alongside the cameras on a pole, on the side of a building, in temporary installations, or practically anywhere it is needed without being limited to installation where cable infrastructure is available. The MuVis supports video standard up to 4K resolution 30fps, can transmit the video in camera output quality without compression, and can be used in areas with LTE cellular connectivity (3G and higher).
It can support over 10 times the number of cameras supported by the existing cellular network, and up to 100 cameras/km2 (assuming typical 4G cellular coverage).
