Serenno Medical is developing a novel method to monitor fluid balance and predict, identify, and avoid common life-threatening complications in intensive care unit (ICU) hospitalizations such as acute kidney injury (AKI).

Serenno is using a robust, hands-free, low-cost, and noninvasive device that measures accurate, ongoing urine output.

The devices enable contact-free monitoring of hospitalized, quarantined, and home ICU patients.

Using the system, medical personnel are alerted to conditions requiring immediate attention, helping to predict and avoid AKI with no need for massive interventions and reducing costs and length of stay.
