They are administered intravenously to the patient and localized via the Enhanced Permeability and Retention (EPR) effect on cancer cells.Following delivery and accumulation of the particles on malignant tissue, the patient undergoes regional body alternating magnetic field (AMF) application with the EIS at ~290 kHz.

The SaNPs are activated by absorbing the AMF energy, converting it to thermal energy and reaching the desired temperature of 50°C.

Cancer cells cannot survive at 50°C while healthy cells remain unharmed.

As a result, this process leads to the destruction of malignant cells without causing damage to healthy cells.
