Johnson Electric provides motion subsystems and motion components including DC motors, brushless motors, synchronous motors, piezo motors, solenoids, microswitches, and flexible circuits.

Johnson Electric has two operating divisions: the Automotive Products Group and the Industry Products Group.In 2005, Johnson Electric acquired the Israeli company Nanomotion, a piezo motor and subsystem designer and manufacturer.

Nanomotion's products are targeted for markets with demanding, custom-engineered piezo motor applications including medical diagnostics, defense, and semiconductor automation.
