Catalyst is an Israeli private equity firm with more than $450 million in assets under management.

Since its founding in 1999, Catalyst has successfully completed more than 25 investments, raised three funds and had +50 exits from associated partners.The Catalyst Fund I was established in 1999 as a venture capital fund.

The fund focused its investment strategy on maturing Israeli technology companies and had a diversified portfolio across sectors such as telecom, IT, medical devices, and biotechnology.The Catalyst Fund II was established in 2006 as a private equity fund focused on later-stage investments.

The fund mainly invested in Israeli public and private technology companies in telecom, IT, enterprise software security, media, and other sectors.In 2014 the firm established its third private equity fund, the Catalyst CEL Fund.

This Israeli-China fund invests in mid- to late-stage Israeli companies with proven innovation and global presence whose growth strategy is oriented toward activities in emerging markets, with a special focus on greater China.

The Catalyst CEL Fund is jointly managed by Catalyst and China Everbright Limited, the Hong Konglisted subsidiary of China Everbright Group.

It focuses on sectors such as agriculture, industrials, water, energy, and more.In May 2023, Catalyst Fund announced the closing of the fourth fund – Catalyst IV, which manages assets of $150 million including co-investments and will make both primary investments and direct secondary transactions.

Catalyst IV offers co-investment opportunities as an integral part of its strategy, providing LPs unique access to deal flow and the ability to become direct shareholders in portfolio companies.

The new fund, which has already started deploying capital, focuses on mature companies that are category leaders in various technology sectors, including enterprise SaaS, cybersecurity, smart mobility, climate tech, energy, life sciences, and others.
