Aqwind Solutions has developed a wastewater treatment technology and process that produces a high-quality effluent using a fraction of the energy required by conventional wastewater treatment plants.

The system uses micro-algae to produce the oxygen required for aerobic wastewater treatment, which then takes place on a fixed-film system.

When fully deployed, the Aqwind system can reduce energy requirements for wastewater treatment and produce a net-positive energy balance under the right circumstances.
