Anchora Medical is developing minimal invasive suturing devices for both endoscopic (GI) and laparoscopic (hernia) procedures.

The devices are sterile, automatic, single-use suturing device for the approximation or fixation of soft tissue during minimally invasive surgeries.

The device incorporates tiny stainless steel or nitinol anchors threaded on a surgical thread to create either running or interrupted sutures in the tissue.

In July 2021, Anchora Medical received FDA clearance for its 1st product; Su2ura Approximation Device.

The device is in clinical use.
